Issue II-6

With the next issue, we jump forward a few thousand years in time (relative to II-5, that is), to land squat in the middle of Rome's most difficult period: the 3rd century AD. Under attack from the outside of the empire, pretenders to the throne from the inside and a rising tax burden to maintain an ever more expensive army almost brought the Roman empire to a halt. We'll be looking at the soldiers guarding the Limes, campaigns in Mesopotamia, transformational emperors and some of the heroes on the front. Podcast 5

The next podcast is in the works. It looks like we'll have another properly international 'committee' with participants from the US, UK and Australia. It's expected to be available for download in a week or two.

Ancient Warfare forum

The result from the website poll over the last month was quite clear. Practically 80% of voters said they wanted to have a forum on Ancient-warfare.com to discuss the magazine and Warfare in the Ancient world. It's here now, so come have a look, introduce yourself and start posting! If you've ever bought something from us, you're already registered.

Links section

We have just opened a links section on the website. It's mostly full of reenactment groups now, but we'd like to have wargame clubs, historical websites and everything else that could be relevant to readers of Ancient Warfare in there. If you have any suggestions for categories or sites, please login to the site and submit them, or just let us know.
