My name is Adriano and I live on the island of Malta too. I have never studied History but it has been an interest since my childhood days.

I am mostly interested in the history of the Knights Hospitallers and in Roman Military history with particular attention to Legio XXII - Primigenia!

Besides history I also like startegy games on the pc & movies. I have been following Ancient Warfare magazine since the very first issue & my knowledge has expanded a lot, thanks to Jasper & his team.

Hello to all,
I would just like to introduce myself to all involved with this excellent magazine. I have been interested in Ancient Warfare for many years having been introduced to Julius Caesar's 'Conquest of Gaul' from an early age.
My primary interest is in the Roman Legions with particular emphasis on the Flavian Period in Judaea.
I am very impressed with the academic quality of the articles in this Magazine, and the illustrations are superb, just what I've been waiting for! In the future I would like to see comprehensive articles on the siege of Jerusalem (Titus and Hadrian) and the Civil Wars of AD69. Many thanks for an excellent Magazine.

from Ireland (not much of a Roman connection, apart from the much debated Drumanagh site and the Roman artefacts).

Anyway, i saw an advert on Irish Miltary History website for 'Legion Ireland', where i found an advert for this magazine.

I checked it out, liked what i saw/read, after ordering the magazines (which are excellent, production wise, content, artwork and worth every cent) and bouyed from my trip to Kalkriese, Germany (varusschlacht museum) last week, I thought i would take the plunge and join the Ancient warfare community.

My main interest is 17th century, but ancient history is another fav., particularly the Judaean campaign (dont know why?) maybe too many bible stories at School or/and epic 50's movies??

Anyway, i look forward to being part of this community and hope i can contribute to it...
