Dear [NAME], This email has been sent to [EMAIL]. If it was not meant for you, please refer to the instructions at the bottom of this newsletter.
Issue II-3 We're putting the last touches to Ancient Warfare II-3 (June/July) as you read this. As befits a theme entitled 'Age of the Trireme', it has a strong maritime slant, which - for the landlubbers among you - is offset by articles on the Stratagems of Frontinus, very late Legions and the Hallstatt 'Celts'. More info will go online this Monday at Ancient-warfare.com.
Podcasts Our first two podcasts have been download a total of over 4,500 times. That's plenty of encouragement to make some more, so we'll be working on episode three in the next few weeks. It should be ready for listening later in June.
Renewals Remember, if you subscribed from issue I-1 (the campaigns of Agricola), your subscription has run out with Issue II-2. If you do not renew before June 10th, you WILL NOT get issue II.3. All subscribers have been e-mailed about this, but just in case you forgot or didn't get it: there's just under two weeks left to renew your subscription. We'd hate for you to miss an issue!
Themes for 2009 We're currently thinking hard about the themes for 2009, but our ideas are not set in stone just yet. In fact, we want to give you the opportunity to influence which themes will figure in Ancient Warfare next year. Check out my latest blog post with all current ideas and how to give your input. We'd love to hear from you!
Kind regards, Jasper Oorthuys Editor, Ancient Warfare
