Issue II-5Image

Issue II-5 is almost done, just a few more little things to take care of. Expect to have it 'thump' (a little more than before?) on your doormat from about mid-October. This time we'll have among others articles on warfare in Sumer and Babylon, Assyrian siege technology, the battle of Megiddo, the Siege of Hatra and Roman intelligence gathering on the 'Eastern front'. Make sure you renew your subscription in time or buy it as a single issue from our online store.

Distribution questionnaire

We are continually striving to improve the quality of our magazine's bulk distribution. To that end, we will be sending out a very short questionnaire several weeks after issue II-5 has gone into distribution. If you get our e-mail, please respond and help us improve delivery. Many thanks in advance.

Podcast 4

Finally, we got around to recording our fourth podcast - the one that should have come out around the same time the Caesar issue was published. It's finally here and if you're subscribed through iTunes or Feedburner, your computer will already have donwloaded it for you. Hope you'll find it interesting.
As always, we (Angus of The History Network and I are eager to hear your thoughts. Like the podcast? Why not write a review on iTunes, it will make us seem awesome.

Ancient Warfare forum poll

I normally forward reader's questions and remarks to authors and / or publish them in the 'News and Letters' section of the magazine, but that is limited. We currently have our own sub-forum on Romanarmytalk for further debate, but I wonder whether that is accessible enough for our readership. I'd love to encourage more debate among our readers and between readers and authors. After all, there is often not enough space in an article of limited length to address all angles and problem of a subject. What do you think? Should Ancient Warfare get its own forum on the magazine's website? Let me know what you think!

Themes and artwork polls

While you're on the website, make sure you vote in the 'Themes of 2009' poll and let us know which are your favorites in the 'Artwork as prints' poll. We're running these polls until the 31st and 15th respectively.
