Newsletter May 2007

Welcome to the second Ancient Warfare newsletter.

1. June Issue. The first issue of Ancient Warfare is about to go into print and will become available on June 18th. It will also go into the distribution process on that day. New, fully paid subscriptions bought before Monday June 18th will be included in the distribution. Take a look here for the contents of our first issue.

2. Credit cards. Although advertised as a two week process, upon application it appeared that it actually takes months before the Dutch authority processes the request to accept credit cards. It does appear that we are in the final stages of the process, but the experience so far has made us wary.
We will send out a separate newsletter as soon as this situation has been solved.
In the meantime, PayPal works like a charm, as do bank transfers - which are free within the Euro zone.

3. Discount code. Because of the above problems, we have decided to extend the deadline on the discount code mentioned in the introduction brochure. It will be valid until two weeks after Visa and MasterCard have become available as payment methods.

4. Subscription status. Want to make sure your subscription is all paid up and you are going to get Ancient Warfare delivered to your door as soon as it's published?
Use this procedure to find out: loginusing the username - usually your email address - and password supplied when you signed up. When you are logged in, Account Maintenance will have appeared as a new option in the left hand menu. This allows you to update your billing and shipping addresses and shows your orders.
Please contact us if you believe the order status displayed is incorrect.

5. Reader survey. The results of the reader survey are in. Over 400 visitors took the trouble to fill out our questionnaire. Thank you! Some of the results of the survey will be published in the coming issue of Ancient Warfare.
We have attempted to contact all winners of the raffle, but we have not yet heard from all of them. If your name is in this list and you have not heard from us, please contact us. If we haven't heard from you by June 15th, we will draw new names instead!

6. Reviews. Each Ancient Warfare contains a section with reviews of interesting books, models, (computer)games and reenactment equipment. These reviews will be published as a short version in the magazine and as a longer review on the site. If you are interested in helping us out with this feature, please contact me.

And as always, please do not hesitate to contact us through the form on the site, on the forum at Romanarmy.com, by phone, skype or e-mail. Ancient Warfare can only improve through your suggestions!
